Video Tutorial Form 4 Mathematics Matrices and Transformation Lesson 3

Dear readers, viewers and listeners, welcome to our lesson 3 on Form 4 Mathematics Matrices and Transformation Lesson 1. To access the lesson, click on the video link below to watch. In our previous lesson, i.e. lesson 2, we looked at how to obtain a matrix of transformation when given the object and the image.

Below find Lesson 3

In lesson 2 we looked at how you multiply the matrix with the object to get the image. Lesson 3 is about the unit square and it is very interesting. Unit square is used to check matrices and see how matrix does transformations in given operations.

More on Unit Square

A unit square is a special square with points OIKJ with vertices O (0,0), I (1,0), K (1,1) and J (0,1). The square helps one to quickly identify what transformation a given matrix represents and also the transformation of a given matrix.

The truth about 2020 KCSE exam

I have decided to write about the 2020 KCSE exam. For the form 4 students, we sympathize with you but the only thing we can do for now is to pray and wait for the way forward. Remember you should keep yourself as busy as possible. It is very dangerous not to read and relax waiting for schools to open. The truth is no one knows when the schools will open. Therefore, the safest thing to do is to keep yourself as busy as possible with revision. Normally, long breaks make students forget a lot. Take the example of the longest holiday usually referred to as the December holiday. During December holiday students break for about one and a half months. During the December holiday, most students tend to relax because it is the December-festive season. So what happens when schools open in January- your guess is as good as mine. You find that most of what you learned in the previous terms has been forgotten and it takes time to refresh your mind. So the danger associated with this break is that the government can decide to open schools any time then give you a very short time to prepare for the 2020 KCSE exam. Therefore, it is important to always be ready because you never know when schools will open and when the 2020 KCSE exam will be done. Success as you endeavor to brighten your future.
